McGILL—ROBERTS

The wedding took place i n Presbyterian Hall, Mount nui recently of Miss Mavis' Roberts, youngest daughter 0 f and Mrs W. T. Roberts of Maunganui, to Mr Joseph Gill, youngest son of Mr and McGill of Huntly. The Rev. q* rS Hunt of Tauranga ofiiciated. " ‘

In attendance as matron of ho n . our was the sister of the bride, M r S. Mahy, of Awaken, who wore a gown of vienx rose ring velvet re. lieved with gold, a tiara of gold flow, ers, and carried a bouquet of rose coloured gerberas and asparagus fern completing a charming eil . semble.

The bridegroom was attended by liis brother-in-law, Air Arthur thur* ton, of Huntly, as best man.

The wedding breakfast was held at the residence of the bride’s parents, where the guests were received by Mrs W. T. Roberts wearing a tailored suit of airforce blue with hat to match. She carried a bouquet of nemesias and asparagus fern. Mrs McGill was in an ensemble of black cloque and black hat relieved with an orange feather. She carried a bouquet of gerberas, cactus and fern.

Among the guests present were: —Mrs Arthur Thurton (Huntly), Mr and Mrs A. Roberts, Mr S. Mahy, Mr and Mrs C. Woodcraft, Mr and Mrs Rawson,(Taneatua), Miss Mary Sykes (Taneatua), Mr B. Street (Waiuku), Mr T. Dakin (Queensland). The bride’s travelling dress was in London tan trimmed with gold kid with hat and accessories to match. Mr and Mrs McGill intend making their future home in Waiuku.
