A German corporation, Tropicorp, Limited, had previously submitted an offer to the Alberta Petroleum Association to build such a pipeline, taking as payment Turner Valley oil, presumably for shipment to Germany. ; We did not enter into negotia--1 tions with the Germans,” said R. A. Brown, chairman of the Petroleum Association. “We believe in Empire development.” British authorities have had full reports and data on the Alberta field and the feasibility of using its product for naval and aeroplane fuel. More than 50 crue oil wells are in • production along the 15-mile valley jin the foothills south of Calgary. The potential output is 5 2,000 barrels daily.
