ELECTION CAMPAIGN
MR DOIDGE’S MEETINGS The National candidate, Mr F. W. Ddldge, addressed two meetings on Saturday. There was a good attendance at Pongakawa Valley on Saturday afternoon. Mr E. C. Delves presided. The candidate spoke for an hour and a half, and was kept busy for a further hour answering questions. He was accorded a hearty vote of thanks, on the motion of Mr Montgomery. In . the evening Mr L. Tollemache presided over a full meeting at Otumoetai, Mr Doidge received an excellent hearing, and at the close of his address was accorded a unanimous vote of thanks and confidence on the motion of Mr Lever, seconded by Mr Pillans.
