General Situation. —A rather deep westerly depression with a considerable northward extension is now passing in the south. Pressure is rising over eastern Australia. Winds.—Moderate to strong north westerly winds, backing later to westerly or in places southerly. Weather. —Rather cloudy to overcast and rain probable. Temperatures moderate but cooler to-morrow. Seas.—Rather rough to rough on West Cast, moderate on East Coast.
