Mr C. H. Burnett, M.P., left by train this morning for Wellington and will return in about ten days in order to attend to electorate matters. The Mayor. Mr L. R. Wilkinson, has left to spend a short holiday in the Rotorua and Taupo districts. Mr H. J. Bradmore. Manager of the Bank of Australasia, left yesterday on three weeks’ leave. He will visit Wellington and Dunedin. Mr D. Elder, of Invercargill, is spending a holiday with friends in Tauranga. Mrs E. A. Meredith, of Rotorua, is spending a holiday in Tauranga and is a guest at the Star Hotel. Messrs H. McChesney and C. Robertson, Inspectors of Schools, are on an official visit to Tauranga. Mr and Mrs G. Tysoe, Miss B. Tysoe, and Mr and Mrs T. Ashton, of England, who are on a motoring tour of the North Island, are spending a few days in Tauranga and are guests at the Tauranga Hotel. The tour will cover seventeen days. The visitors are well pleased with what they have seen of New Zealand and have formed a good impression of this country. Mr A. E. Carter and Mr C. H. CarI ter, of New Plymouth, are spending a holiday in Tauranga. Dr. Leslie Burnett is expected in I Tauranga by car to-night and will spend a holiday in Tauranga, staying with his parents at Fifth Avenue. Mr E. A. Meredith, Government valuer, is paying an official visit to Tauranga and is at the Star Hotel. Miss C. Jones, who has been spendj ing a holiday at Hotel Manor, has [ returned to Wellington.
