ANZAC DAY
LOCAL SERVICES Anzae Day falls on Sunday next. The Secretary of the Returned Soldiers' Association notifies that the Parade will fall in at the corner of Ist Avenue and Devonport Road, leaving there at 1.45 for the Town Hall, where the usual service in commemoration of those who fell at Gallipoli will be held at 2.15. By order of the Roman Catholic Archbishop and Bishops of New Zealand, at St. Mary's Church on Anzac Day, a Requiem Mass, particularly for the Australian and New Zealand dead of the Great War, will be said at 10.15 a.in. Thereat the Children’s Choir will sing. Wreaths may be placed on the Memorial Gates at the Domain at any time during the day. At Te Puke the Memorial Service will be held in the morning at 11 o’clock.
