Heavy Trallic Restriction. A resolution restricting heavy traffic during the months of May to September inclusive, to 30cwt. per pair of wheels on all metalled roads in the county was passed by the Inglewood County Council. Motor lorries will be prohibited on all unmetalled roads in the county during that period. Paralysis Treatment. At the masseurs conference held in Dunedin Miss Mary McLean described the method of treatment adopted with infantile paralysis sufferers in Sweden. They were not classed as cripples, she said, unless they reacheu the chronic stage. In the acute stage, and while there was any chance of recovery, they remained in hospital under medical care. Electrical treatment did not play a part and was hot recommended by the doctors in any of the hospitals she visited.
