THIRTEEN HUNDRED EXC URSIOXISTS.

(From our correspondent.) Two heavily laden trains arrived at the Mount on Sunday with thirteen hundred excursionists drawn from Hamilton, Paeroa; 1 Te Aroha, Thames and Putaruru. They enjoyed an ideal day at the Mount and took full advantage of the pleasures of the beach. A successful surf demonstration and competitions added to their entertainment. During the afternoon two girls got into difficulties in the surf, and the life saving teams gave prompt assistance.
