WOMEN’S INSTITUTE
MEETINQ AT GATE PA
The monthly meeting of the Gate Pa Women’s Institute was held in the Parish Hall. In spite of the wet weather there was a good attendance. Mrs Christian spoke on “Folk Song,” this subject proving a most interesting one, and was listened to with keen interest, a hearty vote of thanks being pasged at the conclusion. In th§ competition for “Coat Hanger,” Miss Bannatyne gained first place and Mias McLaren second. The roll call, Best Dinner for Institute Day, bought to light some very good ideas and excellent medus, this going to show that fathers are not neglected on mothers’ day out.
Tlie hostesses : far the afternoon wer§ Nqryis and Mrs Murrav, who. handed round a delightful afternoon tea.
