The Hon. C. E. Macmillan, Minister of Agriculture, left to-day for Te Aroha, and returns on Thursday,
Mr P. P. Hockly, Colonel Aldred and Mr S. Buttle, members of the Mortgagors’ Relief Commisfeion, are paying an official visit to Tauranga and are at the Commercial Hotel.
Guests at the Tauranga Hotel include Messrs Sandham, Griffiths, Shepherd. Shortt, Ackroyd, Christensen. McCrory, Smith, Hughes and Mason. -
.Messrs Grant, Skegg, Tregear, Murray. Pelvin and Kendall are staying at.the Masonic Hotel.
„ Mr Le Crex, of Feilding, and Messrs Holmes, Ward and Martin, of Auckland, are guests at the Commercial Hotel.
, T^ e death is announced from Montreai of Mrs William J. Knox aged 85 sister of the late Mr John Ballance formerly Prime Minister of New Zealand.
