Mr and Mrs H. D. Baker hare returned to Tauranga after three month’s absence.

' Miss D. D.. Baker, who has been a member of the staff of the Opotiki District High School, left Opotiki on Friday, and will subsequently go to Canada,, where she ’ will have one year’s exchange teaching. ‘

Mrs Wills,'Of Hawera, who has been staying at the Tauranga Hotel for the past month, left to-day on her return to Taranaki.

Messrs H. W. de Castro and A. D. Barber, Government . Audit Inspectors, are paying an official visit to Tauranga and are staying at the Masonic Hotel.

Mr and Mrs R. M. Hardy and Miss Betty Hardy, who have been residing In Tauranga for the past eight years, have taken up their residence at, St; Stephen’s Avenue, Auckland. During his residence in Tauranga Mr Hardy took a keen interest In football, and out-door sports and has done much'ln promoting the cause of Rugby in this portion of the Bay of Plenty.

Messrs Williams, McLaughlin, Goldsmith, Pillenger, Seabrook, Morton, McDermott and Garlick are staying at the Star Hotel. Guests at the. Tauranga Hotel Include Miss Potrose and Messrs Harris, Shannon, Frater and Spraggon. Mr C. Horner of Puniho, New Plymouth and late of Massey College, Palmerston North, is spending a holiday in Tauranga and is staying at Manor House', Second Avenue. •

Mr J. Macleod, of Gisborne, is staying with friends in Tauranga. ;

Mrs Nell of Cheviot and Mrs Pritchard of Wanganui, are staying' with Mrs Nell, Roberts Street.
