RED FLAG.

HOISTED ON CATHEDRAL. Geneva, March 24. After a. large red flag had floated for two days from the tower of St. Peter’s Cathedral, the Chief of Police received a telephone call asking if the State Council of Geneva had hoisted the banner. The chief rushed immediately to the cathedral, but was unable to bring the red flag down. A‘fire brigade also failed to remove the banner as a whole, but various efforts tore it to bits. These, when collected, and pieced together, showed the Soviet emblem, with an inscription reading: “Against the unholders of Avar only a revolution will bring peace.”
