PERSONAL.
Dr L. Cockayne has retired from the presidency of the New Zealand Native Bird Protection Society, and Mr R A. Anderson, of Invercargill, has accepted office.
Mr H. D. Vickery’s appointment as chairman of the New Zealand Broadcasting Board for a period of four years has been gazetted. Messrs G. R. Hutchinson and L. R. C. Macfarlane will hold office as members of the hoard for three years.
Mr A. R. White, who has held the position of accountant at the Lands and Survey Department, New Plymouth, for three and a-half years, has received advice that he hag been appointed to the position of accountant, New Zealand Reparation Estates, Apia, Samoa. Mr White leaves to take up his new position about the middle of April.
Mr J. G. Cliff-McCullough, of Whakatane has been appointed a member of the No. 3 District Transport Licensing Authority.
