BOWLING.
TAURANGA CLUB. The tournament on Easter Saturday was abandoned owing to rain, but on Easter Monday weather conditions wore ideal. A pairs tournament was played, starting at nine o’clock, five one and a-quarter hour games being played. The winning skip was J. A. Guinness with four wins and one draw. Smith was runner-up with 3 wins and 2 draws.
Walker was winning lead with four wins and one loss. Kingdou was runner-up with 3 wins, one loss and a draw.
Championship games will now be most important for the next fortnight. as all final games must be completed before the green closes clown. TAURAXGA SOUTH GREEN. The Tauranga South Bowling Club held a successful progressive pairs tournament yesterday. The results were as follows; Skips.
Smith and Cutler tied for the leads and in the play-off Smith won.
