DISTRICT LANDS.
INSPECTION BY DIRECTORGENERAL. The Minister of Agriculture, the Hon. C. E. Macmillan, took advantage of the generous offer of the Director-General, Dr Reakes, to do some research work during his holiday to take him up to Mr Skinnuer’s farm at Ohauiti, where Dr Reakes was impressed by the sward of grass produced by the regular top-dressing with slag on what has been classed deteriated land, and also with the healthy appearance of the stock. Easter Monday the Minister and Director-General spent in the Raima! district, and with several of the settlers inspected land that in the opinion of the Minister should be settled.
The opinion of the Minister and D Reakes coincided.
