PASSION FRUIT.
ARRANGEMENTS FOR EXPORT. The disposal of this season’s export passion fruit crop, the arrangements for which were reported to have broken down, has now been satisfactorily adjusted (says the Auckland Star). It is stated that negotiations have been completed between a representative of an English firm interested in the manufacture of cordials and the Kerikeri growers for the disposal of the crop. Tiie juice will be expressed at the Kerikeri factory and exported in bulk. The price is subject to certain conditions, but is expected to net the grower between IJd to 3d per lb. ft is considered that one penny per 11) delivered at the Kerikeri factory ■should ensure a small profit to the producer.
