TAURANGA SOUTH CLUB. The following games were played on the Tauranga South green yesterday afternoon: Ordinary Draw.—Johanson, Clemson, Bunting (s) 24 v. Roulston, Stewart, Mearns (s) 18. Challenge Fours, Tenth Round. — Mrs Newsham, Leech, Dykes, Newsham (s) (challengers) 20 v. Miss Stewart, Tutchen, Maguire, Kempster (s) (holders) 12. TAURANGA CLUB. To enable work to be done on the green the committee has decided to close the green in about three weeks so all finals must be played during the next fortnight Section winners have to be found in all except the Senior Championship and the closing date for this is March 31st. The final for the Sratih Shield was played on Wednesday. Results: Walker, Butler, Guinness, Wilkinson (s) 21, v. Connor, Bent, Smith, Crowley (s) 20. The winning team played through season without a loss.
Draw Gaines. Moncur and Woollams drew with Playfair and Bailey. Whiting, Pitkethley, Kiddie (s) 22 v. Ford, Mason, Teasey (s) 15. Anquitel, Collard, McKenzie, Kiddie (s) 22, v. Steel, Reed, Sladden, Taylor (s) 13. In the President’s Pairs, substitutes were found for Gifford, and so Allely and Gifford are winners of the section. It is hoped that the final can bo played during Easter, enabling Mr Gifford to play while here from Wellington,
