CAR WRECKED.
STRUCK BY LIMITED EXPRESS. Otorohanga, April 22 Clifford Cooper, aged 30, a farmer, was driving a car from town towards a railway crossing north of Otorohanga, when it was struck by the Limited express. The car was wrecked, and Cooper’s skull was fractured and one of his ankles was broken. There is a clear view of the line at this point, and the express whistled. It is assumed that faulty brakes on the car caused the accident.
