Yvette, a milliner in Market-street, called for an apprentice, and as.early as 6.3 p the first applicant arrived. Then on they came in increasing numbers, until about 50 girls besieged the door. The second crowd gathered at a confectioner’s in Victoria Arcade, and long after the owner had declared himself satisfied, applicants still arrived.
