LABOUR SHORTAGE.
POSITION IN TRANCE. The Paris correspondent of the “Daily News’’ draws a contrast between Germany, where 3,000,000 people are unemployed, and France, where the employers’ organisations are sending emissaries inroughout Europe to enlist workers to make good the labour shortage. The French employers are offering high wages and good working conditions, also free return tickets. These rewards are expected to lure 50,000 Austrians and Hungarians to France in May. The Alliance for the Growth of the Population has issued a manifesto pointing out that France with her 'Stationary population is being overwhelmed by Italy and Germany, whose inhabitants are increasing.
