MEETING OF LADY PLAYERS. The annual general meeting of the lady members of the Tauranga Golf Club was held last night. The President (Mrs D. V. Hanna) was in the chair and there was a fair attendance. The President’s report was read as follows; ' “The iQ2t; season was a very sue- , ccssful season. The committee as usual worked in perfect harmony and on all occasions were willing and ready to help. Owing to the efforts of the ladies under the management of Mrs Beckett, the tea account for the year showed a credit balance.. The competitions in all cases were keenly contested. Many young players showed great improvement, which I was apparent in the results of the Championship matches. Misses Sanders and Hartley winning these and Mrs Hcald, a new player, the Bronze Medal. It is to be regretted that no Silver Medal was available during the season, there only being one player in the Silver Medal division. However, it is hoped this will not be the case this year. Matches were played against Paeroa, Whakatane, and T c Puke and proved most enjoyable. Thanks are due to the Secretary, the President and the Men’s committee' for their help during the season; and to the Bay of Plenty Times for the publication of competitions and results; also, to the d mors of trophies for the ladies’ competitions,” The election of officers for the en-> suing year resulted; President.—Mrs D. A special vote of thanks was passed to Mr Goulding for the use of his office, for meetings. A vole of thanks to Mrs Hanna for presiding, closed an enthusiastic meeting.
