THE REGENT. The three sessions held yesterday of “Gold Diggers of Broadway” drew crowded houses. Many people paid their second visit to see this wonderful film, and it is expected that the three sessions to-day again will attract record attendances. The special train from Te Puke leaves that town at 5.45 p.m. and will arrive in time for the seven o’clock session. The booking is par- ! ticularly heavy. j The glamour of “Gold Diggers of I Broadway” will long remain as it is i undoubtedly the most entertaining j and spectacular talkie yet produced. ' The season ends to-night. ! Commencing to-morrow niglC, the much talked of picture, “Kid Gloves.” i starring Conrad Nagel and Lois Wili son, is to be’ shown. OPERA HOUSE. i “Stand and Deliver,” the dashing and dramatic story of thrills, laughter and adventures iu England and modern Greece, which will be the featured attraction at the Opera House to-night and to-morrow, is played against the background of banditry ' which seriously threatened Greece I after the World War. Rod la Rocque is seen as Roger Norman, a young I Englishman who distinguishes him- ; self in the air during the war 1 and who finds the anti-war social life iof London boring.
