BACHELOR FLATS
COUNCIL’S APPEALS UPHELD Auckland, Oct. 23. The Town Planning Board on three Auckland appeals upheld the action of the City Council in refusing permits for . six-storeyod bachelor flats in the city on the grounds that insufficient, air and light space was provided; and that the building would not conform to the recognised principle* of town planning. A similar decision was reached in two other cases —one for flats and one for shops.
