Stalls for the sale of cakes, sweets, etc., Were well patronised, and afternoon tea was handed round under the capable management of Mesdames Carswell, Ibbetson, and Robinson. A varied and most enjoyable programme was given by the following, special thanks being due to Miss Grice for her services at the piano; Miss Grice, Mesdames Tonkin, M. Munro, McCardle, .Castles, and Baker, Misses Baker, Mount fort. Bates, Ward and Master Geoff. Carswell.

The stall holders were as follows: Cakes, Mesdames Candy and Washer ; Sweets, Mesdames Allen and Ivory, Misses Johnston and Candy; Flowers, Miss Gilmore; Chinese Linen Goods, Mrs Wallace. Rev. J. W. Smyth, in thanking all those who had helped to make the afternoon so successful, including Mr Boyd and other gentlemen of the congregation, spoke with regret, of the approaching departure of Mrs Ibbetson, who has for many years been a most willing and energetic helper in all church work.
