SHIELD MATCH
ROTORUA V. TAURANGA
Football enthusiasts are hoping for a fine day to-morrow, when the .Rotorua Rugby challengers will meet the Tauranga representatives on the domain in a contest for the Hurinui Apanui Shield. Each Union will field a strong side and there is every prospect of a hard, keen struggle, with very little between the contestants. It is some years sincp Rotorua has sent a team to Tauranga and hitherto on many occasions their meeting with Tauranga has furnished stirring struggles. To-morrow’s game should prove no exception and the match will bo well in keeping with the best traditions of the Rugby code. Mr C. Montgomery, of Te Puke, will control the game. The teams are: TAURANGA (blue'and gold): Full-back, R. J. Phelan (1); Three-quarters A. Tassell (2), E. lies (3), H. Kelly (4); Five-eighths, G. 'lies (5), G. Farmer (6); Half-back, R. Mirriclees (7); Rover, W. Turner (8); Forwards, back row, Tu Tangitu (9), D. Mountfort (10); middle row, C. Cameron (11), E. Policy (12), A. Kelly (13); hookers, C. Haua (14), F. Bickers (15). Emergencies, H. Takerei (16), K. Ikanui (17), P. Bidois (18). G. Burgess, N. Leslie, and I. Tangitu are all indisposed and not available for to-morrow. ROTORUA (black with gold shield) Full-back, E.
