PERSONAL
The Rev. and Mrs E. A, McCuecheon and family left for Napier yesterday morning. Mr MeCutcheon intends to on the land pending the restoration of his health. On Wednesday Mr T. H. Phillips, President of the Bowling Club, took the opportunity of Mr McCutchecu’s presence on the green to bid him good-bye on behalf of members. Mr McCufccheon briefly returned thanks for the good wishes extended to him. A Press message from Wellington says it is announced that the following appointments to the Legislative Council have been made; Hon Sir R. Heaton Rhodes, Hon. D. H. Guthrie,-Mr G. Witty (formerly M.P. for Riccarton) and Mr L. M. Isitt (formerly M.P. for Christchurch North).
