The results of the municipal ©lections in England and Wales show that Labour has substantially improved its position, gaining many seats from the Conservatives and Liberals. Though the Socialists gained many seats in tho Bhglish municipal elections a mass attack on London failed. The Socialists lost 3X6 seats in London in 1922, of which they retrieved albout a. quarter of the seats, but th© Moderate Reformers still have a considerable majority on most councils.
