Mr Gallagher, presiding at the British Communist Party's Conference, declared that the MacDonald Government had abandoned all its original pretentious and did not abide by its assurance that it would only remain in office a short period. Its conduct in office was not distinguishable from that of an ordinary capitalistic administration. Tho Government’s talk of carrying on for two or three years in the service of capitalists was sheer treachery to the working class.
