ANN UAL MEET ING

The annual meeting ol the above Club was htJd in the borough Council Chamber.-, last night. i here wa- a large, attendance of members. Slis Wor-hip the Mayor Mr B, Dive presided. The leporl and balance sheet were read and adopted. The luiamial statement showed that the Club was Hi a very ,-atisaetory position The election of oflicers for the. coming vears resulted as follows: Patron, Si r William Hurries; President, Dr Warren Young ; VicePresident, Mrs ,J Torrance; Treasurer, Airs A. E. Hammond; General Commit tee, Mesdames P. Mu mm, Ih swiek, Coachie and Gibbcrd; Tea Committee, Mesdames T. H Phillips and A. S, .Burgess; Green Committee, Mo samites M intro, Gibbcrd, and 11. if. McCarthy; .Secretary, Mis -I Tonanec. Several new members were elected, including Mealtimes Skipper, 11 Grump, Finnic, Nowsham, H, Handle, Deakm and Butlimcre; dSliss Shaw and Air C. E. Gibbcrd. The next bu.-.iness was the dismssiou of the agreement which ,vas drawn up between .Messrs Baker and Torrance the adjusters for (lie Tennis. all (!( Croquet Clubs, these two sections agreed to separate and each run their uvvu Club. A vote ol thanks was accorded Mr Tmanee tor the part ho had taken in the .settlement between Tie two chibs. Tho Secret-ary intimated If,at quit" a number of gifts had been non, led to the Croquet- Club, including crockery, etc., also a, valuable trophy for competition. The subscription was fixed at 35/ tor players and 10/ for honorary members. A vote of thanks to His Worship the Mayor for presiding concluded the. meeting.
