All (digraph and telephone wires and .railway lines in Kerry have been destroyed by the irregulars, who have concentrated most of their forces in the mountains and are carrying on operations with renewed activity daily. The Free Staters, are ham petted by the broken, bridges and barricaded reads and are constantly ambushed from the mountain tops. A strong force. is required to dislodge the irregulars. The. plight of the civil population is set ions and ht igaadage is rampant. Hundreds of families are wit bent work and on the verge of starvation. The object of the irregulars seems to be to starve the ptopic, into submission, HEAVY COMPENSATION. Mr Cosgravo head of the Free Slate, informed Parliament that compensation for properly damaged tdnee the truce amounts to between X 30.000.000 and X 30.000.000. Parliament adopted a resolution) accepting the principle that local authorities bo responsible for compensation for damage done from a future undefined date.
