PAENGAROA LADIES VISIT TAURAN6A. The unbeaten Paengaroa ladies hockey (earn paid a visit to TauI'anga yesterday, and wen.*- accompanied by the President of the Club, Mr. Donald Grant, In the afternoon the visitors played a match against the local ladies club, .Hairinis. The game was decidedly last and interesting, each side playing very skilfully both in attack and defence. Neither was able to score and the match resulted in a draw. Miss Yercoe was very conspicuous for the visitors. Misses B. Simmonds and G. Earl played well for Hairinis. Mr. 11. Gray was referee.
The visitors travelled by train and ferry. The Paengaroa Ladies Club has not tasted defeat this season, having vanquished the Te Puke ladies on two occasions and scored a double success against the Bosnia ladies representatives. It is understood that the return match will be playsd on Thursday next at the Paengaroa Junction, when another close contest is confidently looked for. '1 be Te Puke ladies team, will visit Tanranga to-morrow and will play the Hairini Ladies Club on the domain.
