DEPOSITS MORATORIUM
NOT TO BE LIFTED ALL AT ONCE. (Per Press Association—Copyright. > Wellington, July 8. Tire moratorium over moneys placed on deposit with local authorities and companies expires on December 31. Provision was made for depositors in certain circumstances to apply to the Supreme Court for repayment in part or as a whole, but as the law stands, all deposits affected day the moratorium will have 10 be repaid after* December 31. However, the law will not be allowed to lemain ns it is. From Sir Francis Ball, as Attorney-Gen-eral, it was learned to-day that a Bill will be drafted in due course lo meet th? position that might arise after December 31. The measure will provide'for the gradual release of deposits. It is not proposed to lift the moratorium all at once, so far as deposits are concerned, but prevision will be made for tliifir progressive repayment.
