EMPLOYMENT SOUGHT

A deputation of returned soldiers asked Sir J. Cook (Acting Premier) for employment, stating they were starving. Sir J. Cook replied that, whilst the Government undertook to find employment for returned soldiers it was for a period only and not till death, lie had already spent £100,000,000 on soldiers. The question was one for the State Governments.
