Chi 1 berg, who bought the wooden vessels built in the United States of the Australian Government, and later failed to pay the instalments, has surrendered to the authorities in connection with the failure of the Scandinavian and American banks of Tacoma and Seattle.
Five indictments charge Chilberg with making excessive loans to himself and-to one director c.f the Tacoma Bank of which Chilberg was formerly president.
