SUNDAY EVENING ENTERTAINMENT
The Sunday evening entertainment given by the Musical Society last night in the Town Hall was again well attended, and a very enjoyable programme was presented.’ In addition to many delightful pieces by the orchestra, songs were contributed by Mrs Foster, who sang two songs in her usual charming manner. In the absence of Mr Pearson, who was indisposed, Mr Litherland sang, his contribution being highly appreciated. The Rev. Mr McCutcheon gave a brief address, which being brief, and appropriate, was listened to by marked interest. Tne collection amounted to £7 14s 6d. The use of the halt was again kindly given free by the Town Hall Picture Company.
