HOCKEY MOTES

A meeting of lady hockey players was held in Messrs Carter and Co’s premises on Tuesday evening, Mr H. Gray "presiding. It was decided to form an eleven, to be known as the Silver Bell team, for competition in the ladies’ banner contest It wrs decided that the colours be red jumpers, black facings, and black skirts. Mr C. Hartley was elected president, Miss Wright secretary, and Miss R. Horne captain.

M ssrs H, Gray and A Stewart were appointed delegates to the Hockey Association. The Hairini girls eleven has been formed, with Miss B. Simmonds as captain. This team will play in the banner contest. The Schoolgirls will be repre sented in the banner competition, and there is a possibility of the school-teachers entering a team.

The Gate Pa girls are also endeavouring to form a team for the banner competition.
