The Chicago Tribune’s Buenos Ayres correspondent states that German capitalists are bringing their funds to the Argentine in order m escape taxation, resulting from German reparations and other post-war indebtedness. They are trying to capitalise the textile industry Although now mainly depositing large funds in local banks at ordinary rfues of interest, they are awaiting the re-awakening of Argentine industries. At present there is industrial stringency in the Argentine The Consul-General at Berlin has reported that Germans are dismantling textile machinery in Saxoiiv for removal to the Argentine to such an extent that the authorities are contemplating an embargo.
