A TE PUNA DEVIATION
'..■.. At yesterday's meeting .of the Tauranga County Council a letter was read from Mr J. Bruce Beale, solicitor, who wrote on behalf of Mr John Munro, Te Puna, objecting to die proposed taking of certain -lands for a public road, upon the following grounds : That it .'.will injuriously affect Mr Munro's farm by entirely severing a considerable area thqreof from the Tfiain homestead" portion, thus de"Preciating the value of the farm ; ;hat i^ will interfere with the convenient working of the farm as a whole; that it will cutoff the -whole of the water supply to ■ a considerable area of the farm. Wi" A. Harper, Whakamarama, ■wrote stating he has no objection to the naw road going through "is property at le Puna, but he expects to get the same price for we land as he paid for it, and ■that both- sides of the road be tenced
".The Council unanimosly agreed ■»# the iwo communications be to the council's solicitors.
