BURGLAR ADMITS THEFTS.
Per Press Association. Auckland, June 9. At the Police Court, Arthur Symons, 21 years of age, who arrived from Wellington six weeks ago, admitted that he had since lived on the proceeds of thefts. He had broken into six warehouses in Auckland, and stolen petty cash, in one instance , amounting to £16. In addition he secured cheques and promisor'y notes to the value of £150, which he did not attempt to cash. He committed two burglaries in one night. He was found on the premises of the Totara Timber Company when the workmen arrived at seven o'clock in the morning and was arrested. He pleaded guilty and was committed for sentence. Meantime he v. ill be sent to Palmerston North to answer four burglary charges there.
