Cable Association Rec June 9. morning New York, June 8 An investigation of the Japanese immigration question will be made on the Pacific Coast during the summer by members of the Immigration Committee of Con gress. Senator Phelan, of California, has asked the committee to investigate the situation with a view to renewing efforts for the passage of pending legislation, which would bar all Japanese immigration from the Pacific Coast, and prohibit Japanese children, born in the United States, from acquiring citizenship.
