MEMORIAL HALL.
To be Erected at Te Puna. A representative meeting of settlers of Te Puna took place on Friday evening at the schoolroom, Te Puna, to further consider the building of the Te Puna memorial hall- Mr A. WeberTodman was elected secretary, and a strong committee was. formed. It was decided to get estimates of cost of a suitable building. In the meanwhile the various list holders are energetically canvassing for the building fund. ] After the meeting an enjoyable dance took plrce. Amongst the items given between dances were: "The Sunshine of Your Smile," ■ by Miss C. Humphreys ; A Cake Walk, by Mr Rua Heke; "The Yanks are Coiring," by Mr C, Faulkner; a Fong by MrTangatu; and several choruses, all of which were heartily applauded. After supper the dance was continued till 2.30, when a most enjoyable evening terminated. The success of the evening was in no small measure due to Miss P. Smith, who so ably officiated at the piano. , In a previous issue it was stated that Mr W. Armstrong had donated the section to build the hall on. It should have stated Messrs Armstrong Bros-
