London, Jan 16 Sir Douglas Haig reports : We re- ' pulsed a strong raid north-east of Armentieros We made a successful raid north of Lens. The. raiding party bombed dug-outs and took prisoners. Our aeroplanes carried out bombing and machiue-gun work incessantly on Sunaay. They dropped bombs on a large ammunition dump near Roulers, and on billets, hutments, aud >i railway junction.
