A meeting of the committees of the Colonial Wool Importers, Selling Brokers, and Wool Buyers' Associations decided to ask Mr Lloyd Geoige to receive a deputation, which will ri commend that all wools bought in Australia aud New Zealand and shipped prior to the Government requisition, should be sold in the usual way.

A number of Yorkshiremen came to London under the impression that the meeting v*as open to the whole of the tiade, but they were not allowed to be present. Accordingly they held a meeting among themselves, and resolved to demand the maintenance of the present conditions. Speakers pointed out that by reason of their convenience and long usage, as well as on economical grounds, sales were far preferable to the establishment of the new Government organisations..

At the invitation of the War Office a deputation from the Bradford Wool Buyers' Association and the Bradford Chamber of Commerce discussed the whole matter with the War Contracts Departments.

Mr Massey and Sir Joseph Ward held a lengthy conference with ihe Government in regard to the wool question. A further sitting will be held to-night.
