The reaaon of the defection of Alfa Laval from the ■acceptance list is owing to the- fact that he met with an accident. This is hard luck for his

Word hag been received that the well-known jockeys O'Shea Bnd Goldfinch will arrive here on Saturday morning via Rotorua, and will stay nt the Star Hotel.
