FRENCH CAVALRY TO THE RESCUE.
Magnificent Dash at Cham-
pagne.
Paris, Sept 30 A wounded soldier states that when the infantry was held up by entanglements at Champagne the cavalry came to the rescue. It was the Dragoons' and Chasseurs' first chance for months and they determined to make np lost time. It was a magnificent dash. The Bosches were huuted from all sides aud bolted, scattering an unimaginable quautity of material. The flight, turned to panic whnu the Africans went into the Germans with the bayonet and inflicted appalling losses. None stood up to jthem. It was a veritable carnage.
