Spring Cattle Fair.
The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company report:—
On September 21 we held our annual Spring Fair in the Te Puke yards. We had a record yarding of good quality and conditioned cattle, including seme choice lines of 3 and 4 year bullocks from local graziers. Competition was keen throughout, prices being in advance of those lately ruling for grown cattle, but young cattle were a shade easier. Buyers were present from King Country, Waikato, Rotorua, Whakatane, and a good muster from neighbourhood. A choice line of 4-year bullocks frem Mr JRobt. Kirg'a estate averaged thirteen guineas, and a very nice line from Messrs Harray Bros. averaged £12 163. We were successful in disposing of practically the whole yarding at prices satisfactory to venders.
