Succumbs to] Pneumonia.
London, Sept 2. * Keir Hardie, M.P. for MerthyrTydvil, ib dead from pnuemonia. (The deceased was Chairman of the ( Independent Labour Party. He was born in Scotland un August 15, 1856, of working-class parents. He worked in the mines from 7 years of age to 24 He was mairied in 1880, and visited India and Australia in 1907.
We dislodged the enemy from several villages south of Pripet. Our operations in the Lutsk region were practically successful. We stormed the enemy's positions north of the town, which we reoccupied and captured. In addition we took four thousand prisoners, machine guns, and much equipment. Our troops, with great dash, seized the Krasho bridgehead and occupied the villages south-west of Lutsk, killing many Magyars with the bayonet. We took a thousand prisoners in lighting an.entry to fords in the same locality. We drove back the enemy still further southwest of Trembovla.
