Rec Sept 21, 8.3D ain Paris, Sept 23 An official statement says :— After a terrific battle at Champagne the French aimy penetrated the Gerrnau lines on a front of fifteen miles andjfco a depth of two and a-lialf miles at soaie points. We captured twelve thousand Uermaus. Stubborn fighting continues.
