EMPLOYMENT OF GERMANS.
Sydney, Sept 17. There 13 a strongly growing movement against the retention of Germans in the Public Service. Public speakers and correspondents in the newspapers are pressing the Government to act. The Local Government Conference resolved to urge the Premier to retire from the Public Service all persons of German descent Mr Holman, State Pemier, states there are no unnaturalised Germans in the public services. Only twenty-five naturalised Germans are employed in positions where they can do little harm even if disposed to. Enquiries regarding each individual 13 proceeding and he promised to furnish fuil information later.
