WOOL SALES.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their London house under date 14th inst.:— Competition is very irregular as compared with 24th July. Fine and medium greasy crossbred are par to 5 per cent higher. The following are lower: —Merino medium and lambs 5 per cent; inferior sto 10 per cent; coarse greasy crossbred par to 5 per cent; lambs 7& per cent; scoured fine sto 1\ per cent; medium coarse 1 0 per cent; alipe 10 to 15 per cent. Best merino is unchanged.
Rec Sept 10, 11 10 p m. New York, Sept 16. Count Bernstorff, German Ambassa dor, in an interview with the New York Herald, said all the difficulties between Germany and 'the United States will be settled within a fortnight.
